I have exciting news Boundary Families! The physical Li'l Explorers group is back for the summer!! We will be holding a weekly group on Wednesdays from 9:30am-10:30am at City Park in Grand Forks. Our first group will be on July 8th where we will be making dream catchers from supplies we get from nature 🙂 Li'l Explorers is a program that promotes families having fun outside no matter what the weather and is for families with at least one child that is aged 0-6. In every group we will have singing, story time and a craft and/or activity. We will be adhering to social distancing regulations which means that we will only be able to let 6 families join each week, so if you are interested in joining us on July 8th please e-mail me at mel.shenstone@bfiss.org and I will secure your family a spot. There will be no drop ins. Each week the 6 spots will be open, so each week I will need to receive an e-mail from you to secure your family a spot if you are interested.
I am really looking forward to seeing all or your beautiful faces again!
This group is funded by the Government of British Columbia and provided through Boundary Family Services Society.

Our Programs & Services

In an effort to minimize the risk of infection to Boundary Family Services Participants, Staff and the Community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following changes have been made to available services based on BC Ministry of Health and WorkSafe BC recommendations.

  • All drop-in groups have been suspended until further notice
  • People accessing the Glanville Centre will be asked to report any symptoms of illness or if they have travelled outside of the country recently
  • People accessing the Glanville Centre will be asked to use the provided hand sanitizer and to ensure physical distancing with staff and other people that are present

Current participants can arrange for a telephone session or a web-based Zoom session with their worker.  Face to face appointments are available in locations that allow for physical distancing. Please discuss your options with your worker.

New participants and general inquiries can access Boundary Family Services.  We have staff available to respond to your questions in person, by phone or email and general voicemails and emails are checked regularly.
